Rosemary Wolgast

Rosemary Wolgast, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. She was 79 years old.

Rosemary was born on January 28, 1946, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Charles F. and Mary S. (Studnicka) Ocenasek. She was a proud graduate of Swartz Creek High School, Class of 1964.

On April 29, 1972, Rosemary married the love of her life, Henry E. Wolgast, in Owosso. Together, they shared 44 years of marriage filled with love until Henry’s passing in 2016.

Rosemary enjoyed watching professional tennis and relaxing with Hallmark movies on television, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Rosemary is survived by her children, daughters Jenny Schlomer (Bob) of Zimmerman, MN and Jill McCoy of Owosso and son Jeff Wolgast (Christina Schardt) of Davison; five grandchildren; Blair, Tyler, Joe, Hannah and Kathryn; two great grandsons: Seiya and Silas; two great granddaughters: Bella and Hela, and one sister Jean Tanguay of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Henry E. Wolgast.

Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place, with interment to be held at a future date alongside her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
