BEVILLE, Roy Earl - age 78, of Flint, passed away, September 4, 2024. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, September 14, 2024 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek 48473 with Rev. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday, September 13, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. A rosary will be prayed by the Swartz Creek Knights of Columbus Council 6694 followed by a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Chalice Service. Roy was born March 11, 1946 in Toledo, OH, the son of John and Eleanor (Worley) Beville. He was a graduate of Monroe Jefferson High School in Monroe, MI and attended University of Michigan. Roy then joined the U.S. Air Force serving from 1966-1970. He married Jeanne Marie Karasti on August 1, 1981 in Royal Oak, MI. Roy was a project manager for many glass companies throughout the years, including, Ohio Plate Glass, Koerts Glass, Huron Valley Glass, Calvin and Company and Flint Glass. He was an active member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church including the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Roy was an avid University of Michigan Fan. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, old movies, especially Westerns and playing cards, especially Euchre. Surviving are: wife, Jeanne; son, Charles (Amber) Beville; daughter, Nora Jeanne Beville; grandson, Dean Beville; siblings, Sylvia (Larry) Barr of Bowling Green, OH, Ron (Gabrielle) Beville of Tampa, FL, Randy (Cathy) Beville of Bedford, MI, Mary (David) Speirs of Tulsa, OH, Rick Beville of Orange, CA. Russell (Julie) Beville of Monroe, MI; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eleanor Beville. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
