Roy John Perini

PERINI, Roy John - age 77 of Grand Blanc, passed away peacefully, with his family and friends by his side, on August 13, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507 with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM Tuesday until the time of service. Roy will be laid to rest, with military honors, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at 9:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged in memory of Roy to the following charities; National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (www.nkfm.org), American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org).

Roy was born on October 23, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Roy John and Norma Gene (Deremer) Perini Rutkoski. He is a 1966 graduate of Finney High School in Detroit and went on to proudly serve our country with the United States Navy, where he met lifelong friends Raymond and Tim. Later becoming a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he received his associates degree from Walsh College. Roy retired from UBS Financial Services (after 41 years), where he held several key roles throughout his career. Roy married Linda Jane Cannon on March 25, 2000 in Swartz Creek, Michigan.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda. Daughter Jennifer Gawron (Ryan), Grandsons Collin and Brendan Gawron. Sisters Paula (Chris) Elson and Francine Perini. Deb McBride, sister-in-law. Nieces: Ami Rooney, Robyn McBride, Rachel McBride, Sylver Bowles, and Sidney Tatum. Nephew Julian Williams. Roy was preceded in death by his parents.
