WARD, Russell William -- Age 82, of Swartz Creek, died September 5, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 AM Monday, September 9 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Monsignor Richard Groshek celebrant. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday, 1-8 PM Sunday, with a rosary at 7 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek; and visitation will be at the church from 9-10AM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the North End Soup Kitchen. He was born September 8, 1930 in Flint the son of Willard and Marie (Montpas) Ward. He was married to Nancy Leonard on February 3, 1951. Mr. Ward retired from the Flint Schools where he was a special education teacher. He was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angles Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; 12 children, Christine (David) Dunn of Flint, David (Telma) of Texas, Elizabeth (Brian) Hannah of Georgia, Janice (Ken) Talhelm of Indiana, Thomas Ward of Indiana, Nancy (Todd) Boggs of Florida., Patricia (George) Helou of Shelby Twp., Laura (Tim) Snooks of Hillsdale, James (Marcie) of Gaines, Timothy (Joann) of Indiana, Joseph (Evela) of Indiana, Michael (Sande) of Durand; 29 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Ann Goergen. .
