Ruth N. Brown

Ruth N. Brown of Fenton, Michigan passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 94. Funeral services will be held at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton at 12 PM Friday, August 8, 2025. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 AM to noon.

Ruth was born in Conran, Missouri to William and Lucinda (Hawkins) White on April 19, 1931, where she was one of nine children. In 1951 Ruth married Jesse Brown in Marston, Missouri and soon after moved to Fenton, Michigan. In 1955 Jesse was involved in a serious car accident, leaving him paralyzed. Ruth cared for Jesse in their home on Forest Drive until his passing in 1998. When not caring for Jesse, you could find Ruth working at Eby Paint & Wallpaper for many years or later, after Jesse passed, at Sweet Variations candy shop. She was actively involved with her church, teaching Sunday School, helping with funeral lunches, and singing in the choir.

Ruth was also an accomplished artist and baker making wonderful goodies every Christmas for family and friends to enjoy. She spent hours every summer in her garden tending her flowers and vegetables and loved spending time with friends and family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, her parents, and all her siblings. She is survived by many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
