Ruthann Panos

PANOS, Ruthann (Ovadek) - Age 71, of Grand Blanc, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, July 10, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1811 Seymour Ave., Flint. Fr. Philip Schmitter celebrant. Burial in St. Robert Catholic Cemetery, Flushing. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint Sunday from 1-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 6 PM and Monday at church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Christ the King Catholic Church or to the family. Ruthann was born July 30, 1945 in Flint the daughter of Willard and Margaret (Mills) Gailey. She was a 1963 graduate of St. Matthew Catholic High School. She married Stephen Charles Ovadek and he preceded her in death in 1988, she then married Dennis Panos and he preceded her in death in 2014. Ruthann loved her family more than anything. She always welcomed her kids and their friends and truly enjoyed having a house full of people. She enjoyed cooking for big crowds, taking pictures, scrapbooking, being in nature, and gardening as she was a master gardener. Ruthann loved her church and was strong in her faith. She was a supporter of Catholic education and was the ultimate Powers Hockey fan. Ruthann enjoyed many years watching her boys play hockey. Ruthann worked in many capacities over the years; usually involving helping others such as nursing, taking care of special needs children and the elderly. Wherever there was a need, Ruthann tried to fill it. She genuinely cared for others and wanted to make them feel special. Surviving are: her fiance', Robert Arnold; 5 children, Steve Ovadek of Davison, Matt and wife Denise Ovadek of Davison, Maryann and husband Ed Corcoran of Grand Blanc, Michael and wife Kristen Ovadek of Davison, and Katy and husband Jason Beers of Davison; grandchildren, Tiffany and husband Scott Ward, Jordan and husband Michael Aurino, Michael Ovadek, Taylor Ovadek, Parker Ovadek, Natalie Ovadek, Brennan Corcoran, Kendall Corcoran, Jason Beers, Gary and wife Samantha Taylor; great grandchildren, Lorelai, Scarlett, and Gabriel; sisters, Dorothy Hubbard and Janet and husband Fritz Brohn; many nieces, nephews, and special life long friends; and her four legged companion, Louie Ruthann was also preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Michael Corcoran.
