Sally Jo Bagnall

BAGNALL, Sally Jo - Age 81, of Fenton, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Sally's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Robbie Carnes officiating. A private family burial will be held at Great Lake National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to The Medical Team Hospice or Heart to Heart Hospice.

Sally Jo was born October 16, 1943 in Flint, the daughter of Walter Bruce and Patricia Ruth (Lehman) Runyan. She was a 1961 graduate of Fenton High School; and received a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master Degree in Education, specializing in Reading from Oakland University. She married Richard "Dick" Bagnall August 5, 1961 in Fenton and he preceded her in death August 29, 2018. Sally had resided in Fenton her entire life. She retired in 2007 from Brandon Community Schools, where she taught emotionally impaired middle school students, after 17 years of service. She enjoyed playing Bridge, cooking, extensive traveling and hosting 4 exchange Students.

Surviving are: her daughter, Jennifer (Jonathan) Wenzel of Fenton; grandchildren, Madeline Davis of Georgia and Mason Davis of Fenton; sister, Terry Sue (James) Karjalainen of Fenton; and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Patricia Runyan; and brother, Thomas Bruce Runyan. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
