Sally Anne King

May 20, 1936 — Oct 3, 2026

Fenton

King, Sally Anne- age 90, of Fenton, MI, passed peacefully on October 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her sunshine-filled home. Sally was born May 20, 1936, to Floyd and Beryl (Jackson) Brissette in Flint, MI. Sally graduated from Flint Central High School in 1954. She worked for GM as a Comptometer Operator, which happily led to a coworker introducing Sally to her future husband, John Jeremy "Jerry" King. Sally and Jerry were married on October 12, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Flint. They raised their four children in Fenton. Sally’s steady presence in their home laid the groundwork for the strong sense of family the couple instilled in their children. Jerry retired from GM in the 1980s, giving them more time to stay at the cabin he built on Big Bear Lake for his family's enjoyment, as well as traveling the US with Sally. The highlight of their lives was the time they spent with their grandchildren.

Sally joined the Catholic Church when she married Jerry. They have been parishioners at St. John the Evangelist Church since moving to Fenton in 1967. After Jerry passed in 2020, Sally enjoyed time with the ladies of the St. John's Widows Fellowship. She participated in the Knitting-Crocheting Ministry at the parish and found joy in creating unique throws and prayer shawls to donate. She kept herself moving - and singing, with the chorus - at Loose Senior Center. Sally loved to keep up with the comings and goings of her family and spent much of her time talking on the phone and texting with them. She loved to collect stories and photos of her family’s adventures, and was quick to share the highlights with anyone she talked with.

Sally is survived by her children Janet (Bill) Nagy, Peter King, Robert (April) King, and Nancy (Jeff) Galea; grandchildren, respectively, Brad, Kristen (Anton), Joely, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Emily (Jon), David, and Jeremy; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Beryl Brissette; her husband, John "Jerry" King; and her brother, Thomas Brissette.

Due to Jerry's passing in March of 2020, we were unable to share a Celebration of Life. Please join the family in celebrating Sally and Jerry:
