BURTON, Sandra Mae - Age 69, of Burton, died Friday, July 7, 2017. Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Visitation Will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Sandra was born July 23, 1947 in Paragould, AR, the daughter of Freddie and Mary "Joyce" (Bowen) Richmond. She married David Lawrence Burton July 8, 1966 in Richfield Township. She retired as a social worker for the Genesee County Mental Health Department (ACT Team). Sandra was a den mother for the Girl Scout's and the Boy Scout's; she also was a lunchroom monitor at South Bendle. Surviving are: her husband, David; son, David Burton of Burton; daughter, Denise Lynn and husband Jeff Checker of Arizona; grandchildren, Jessica, Elexis, and Nathaniel; sisters, Donna Sue and husband David Domby of Bancroft and Kathleen Godman of Durand; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
