Sandra (Sandy) G. Sabin

Sandra (Sandy) G. Sabin, age 65, of Flint, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan, with Pastor Jon Gildner officiating. The service will also be live streamed and can be viewed via the link at the base of this obituary. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday.

Sandy was born on August 4, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, to Jackson and Doris (Allen) McGowen. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School and later earned her associate degree from Mott Community College.

Sandy married the love of her life, Joseph Sabin. Sandy and Joe shared a deep and devoted love for one another. When Joe passed away, Sandy missed him terribly. Her faith gave her comfort in knowing that they would one day be together again.

Sandy loved Jesus with all her heart and looked forward to the day she would see Him face to face. Her faith was an important part of her life. She treasured her BSF Bible study and the special friendships she shared with her sisters in Christ. Sandy also enjoyed many years of teaching children’s church with her husband Joe.

Sandy loved her family and had a special way of making an impact on the lives of those around her. She will be remembered for her love, her faith, and the kindness she showed to the people around her.

She is survived by her father, Jackson McGowen; her brother, Stephen (Sara) McGowen; her stepchildren, Jason (Carrie) Sabin of Tennessee, Nikki (George) Bowden of Clio, Jenny Koos of Flint, and Candace Sabin of Michigan; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Sabin; her mother, Doris McGowen; and her husband’s parents, Donald and Joyce Sabin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sandy to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Carriage Town Ministries.
