Scott Conley McQuiston, age 77, of Durand, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at home in Durand surrounded by his family. Private arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.

Scott was born on April 12, 1948 in Midland, Michigan, the son of the late William and Mary (Walker) McQuiston. He graduated from New Lothrop High School. Scott enlisted into the United States Army in 1968, proudly serving for 26 months in the Vietnam War with the 1st of the 9th Calvary. He was honorably discharge in 1971. Scott and Regenia Crosby were united in marriage on July 30, 1971 in Corunna. He worked for GM for 32 years and retired in 2004 as a billing clerk. Scott was a member of the New Lothrop VFW. In his younger years, Scott enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle. He was a kind and generous father, always supporting and looking out for his children.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Regenia; four children, Anthony (Julie) McQuiston, Katie McQuiston, Kevin McQuiston and Molly Darling; ten grandchildren, Alexandra, Aiden, Gage, Gavin (Jessica) Dempsey, Gannon, Gabby, Baily, Bryce, Brennan and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Marlee, Maverick and Cairo; sister, Elizabeth (Tom) Larson; and sister-in-law, Julie Crosby.

In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his two brothers, William and Kevin; stepfather, Kenneth McQuiston; nephew, Evan Larson; and brother-in-law, Terry Crosby. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
