Sharon Olive GERNER

GERNER, Sharon Olive - Age 68, of Flushing, died September 19, 2013. Services will be held 3 PM Sunday, September 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek. Burial will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Battle Creek. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Sharon was born December 16, 1944 in Sandusky, OH, the daughter of Lee Daniel and Maryellen (Bauman) Burkett. She married James Lowell Gerner on November 11, 1968 in Toledo, OH; he preceded her in death on August 14, 1988. Surviving are; Son, Daniel James (Kelly) Gerner Sr. of Burnsville, MN; 2 grandchildren; Daniel James Gerner Jr., Matthew Donald Gerner; 3 siblings, Robert (Margie) Burkett of Flint, Vickie (Jerry) Stevens of Flushing, Teresa (Ronald) Trybus of Wesley Chapel, FL; nieces and nephews, Jamie and Kelly Burkett, Adam Stevens, Jennifer and Grant Wheat, Jessie James Burkett, Tyler Trybus, Jodi VanLanduyt.
