Sharon Gay Hawkins

Sharon Gay Hawkins, age 90, of Lansing, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Services will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

Sharon was born on October 22, 1935 in Midland the daughter of the late Gerald and Opal (Freeman) Collins. She was united in marriage to Willard Hawkins on November 27, 1958 in Angola, Indiana. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 24, 2008. Sharon was a cook for Haslett School for 40 years until her retirement in 1996. In retirement she loved to spend time with her family and most importantly her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her children, Rhonda (David) Hanes, Bob Hawkins and Michael (Cindy) Hawkins; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her children, Londa and David Hawkins and brother, Tom Collins. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
