Shaun Michael Thompson

Shaun Michael Thompson, of Fenton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 26, 2026. He was 47 years old.

Born February 19, 1979, in Warren, he was the son of Robert Alan and Kathleen Jane (Coey) Thompson. Shaun worked for many years and was lead social worker for Washtenaw County, he was a very caring person that used that training and compassion to help others outside of work whether finding them someone that could help with jobs around the house or whatever others might need. He was an avid musician and played in multiple award-winning bands. He enjoyed golfing with his kids and spending time visiting Traverse City and it’s wine country.

Shaun is survived by his mother, Kathleen Thompson; his son Harper Thompson and stepson Logan Lake; as well as two brothers Alan Curtis and his wife Lisa and Mark Thompson and his wife Alicia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Thompson.

Cremation has been entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel.
