Sheila Dean Hill

Sheila Dean Hill, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday, June 29,2025 with her husband at her side. She was 72 years old.

Born November 22,1952 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she was the daughter of James A. and Helen M. (Davis) Jones. Sheila married James A. Hill on April 12,1969 in Flint, and the next 56 years went by like a blur. She retired from GM where she had worked as a press operator.

Sheila was known as “Memaw” by her loved ones.

Memaw enjoyed cooking and entertaining family. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, fishing, shopping and playing Bingo. She loved her Yorkies for many years.

Sheila is survived by her husband, James Hill; daughter Laura Lee Madrigal; one sister Lynn; and three grandchildren; David, Alexis and Jamie as well as two great grandchildren Dawson and Rowan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons in infancy, James Allen Hill and James Thomas Hill and a sister Gail.

Cremation has been held. A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family for a future date.
