Shelly Elizabeth Benjamin

Shelly Elizabeth Benjamin, age 56, of Swartz Creek, passed away on December 5, 2025. The family will gather privately. Those desiring may make contributions in her memory to Old Newsboys of Flint (https://www.onbflint.org/).

Shelly was born on August 15, 1969, in Flint, the daughter of Russell and Catherine (Gipson) Myott. She married Scott R. Benjamin on June 27th, 1992.

Shelly was beautiful inside and out and loved by many. She loved her family and had a gift for bringing people together. She loved to socialize, enjoyed reading books, and watching Law and Order. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and was known for the laughter she inspired in others. She enjoyed traveling, especially going "up north", visiting wineries, listening to music, and spending time at the beach; she treasured every moment with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Scott; her children, Taylor (Allysha) Benjamin, Brooke Benjamin, and Paul Burt; her mother, Catherine (Gary) Dow; her brothers, Kenneth (Angie) Myott and Anthony Myott; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Myott.
