Sherman Luther CURTIS

CURTIS, Sherman "Red" L. Jr., age 89, of Higgins Lake, passed away October 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital, Saginaw. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday November 2, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 5PM to 8PM Thursday and 10AM until time of service Friday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the AMVETS Higgins Lake Lodge Post 13. Mr. Curtis was born November 19, 1922 in Lansing, Michigan the son of the late Sherman L. Sr. and Marguerite (Halstead) Curtis. He married Carol Hunt on March, 6 1993. Red enjoyed golfing, and spending time on the water. He served his country in the Army during WWII and retired from American Freight with many years of service. Surviving are; wife, Carol Hunt-Curtis of Higgins Lake; children, Sharon (Randy) Otvos of TN, Colleen Curtis of FL, Roger (Mary) Hunt of Swartz Creek, Steve Hunt of Grand Blanc, Tammy Hunt of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Alyssa, Garrett, Lance, Chace, Curtis; brother, Ross Curtis of Fl; sister, Nancy Kiebler of FL; many nieces and nephews.
