ALLEN, Shirley Jean, -- age 78 of Flint died March 19, 2013 at Avalon Hospice. A Memorial service will be held at West Court St. Church of God 2920 W Court St Flint, MI 48503 Friday 11 AM. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Gathering will take place Thursday 4 PM to 8 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. In lieu of Flowers contributions can be made to Children's Wish Fund- Hurley Foundation or Hurley Prenatal Care. Shirley was born December 29, 1934 to Fred VanAlstine and Wilma Sublette in Flint, MI. She Graduated from Utley High School, was a past president of Chevy Motor Post 3087 and a lifetime member of the Auxillary and a member of West Court Street Church of God. Shirley is Survived by her children: Susan (Dave) Huggler of IL, Debbie (Gilbert) Munoz of Flint, Lee Allen Of MI. Sherry (Gary) Davis of Lennon and Diane (Rick) Hill of Mt. Morris; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; Siblings: Delores Brabbs of Ann Arbor, Brenda (Arnold) Wagner of Flushing, Mary (Robert) School of Honor, Dr. Fred (Kathy) VanAlstine of Owosso and several nieces and nephews.
