Shirley Jean McRORIE

February 26, 1925 — June 5, 2013

McRORIE, Shirley Jean - age 88, of Flint, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Stoneleigh Hospice, Lansing. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 10, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Flint, 746 S. Saginaw St., Flint with Rev. Paul Ytterock officiating. Interment will be held at Flint Memorial Park in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 3-6 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of service Monday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Flint. Mrs. McRorie was born February 26, 1925 in Fenton, the daughter of Sanford M. and Dorothy A. (Clark) Chadderdon. She married William Claude McRorie on November 15, 1943 and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2010. Mrs. McRorie was a Licensed Practical Nurse working at hospitals in Flint and in Florida. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Flint and a Medical Missions volunteer. Family was very important to her and she will be dearly missed by: four children, Linda M. Chadderdon of East Lansing; Marsha L. (Craig) Lesley of Brighton, Teresa A. Bennett (Paul Hackl) of West Palm Beach, FL, Scott W. (Cathy) McRorie of AuGres, MI; seven grandchildren, Rick S. (Sue) Lesley, Allen P. (Alexis) Chadderdon, Julia L. Lesley, Scott W. (Sharon) McRorie II, Michael C. (Tina) McRorie, Adam (Ashley) Keen, Ashley (Danny) Partin; 11 great-grandchildren, Makayla, Miya, Scott III, Khaley, Owen, Amanda, Payton, Michael II, Elaina, Raegan, Trenton, and one on the way.
