Stanley Edward Helm, age 88, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 19, 2025. He was born on August 23, 1937, and raised in Southern California. He then spent four years in the Air Force, before marrying Joyce Bedell Helm and moving to Fenton, later Byron, and finally Howell, Michigan. In their sixty-five years of marriage, they raised three children Dan (Jan) Helm, Julie (Ken) McConnell, and Brenda (Scott) Nelson, as well as six grandchildren Caitlin Helm, Ryan Helm, Aeron McConnell, Abby McConnell, Nicole (Bradley) Stoetzer, and Jennifer (Pete) Groom. He was preceded in death by his sister Connie Cain and brother Jack Helm. Stan worked in banking then as a public school teacher at Danville High School. During retirement for over 25 years, he prepared and trained people how to do income taxes for senior citizens. Stan loved plants and was a Master Gardener. He taught Sunday School for over sixty years and was very active in his church, serving as deacon, treasurer, and in his men's small group. He loved Jesus and served the Lord and His people with passion to the very end. The funeral is Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 3pm with visitation starting at 1pm at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, MI 48430.
