Steve Stowe

March 25, 1952 — December 27, 2025

Owosso

Steve Stowe, a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, at the age of 73.

Services entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes- Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI.

Born on March 25, 1952, in Florence, Alabama, Steve was the oldest of the six siblings, but the youngest at heart. Steve brought light, joy and sincerity to everyone who knew him. As a person with special needs, he taught those around him the true meaning of patience, unconditional love, and finding happiness in life's simplest moments. His smile, laughter and unique way of seeing the world left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him. We have always shared Steve quotes, which brought laughter to anyone listening.

He enjoyed listening to and singing karaoke to Elvis' favorite hits. He also loved Batman, playing bingo, going to the movies, watching old TV shows like Bonanza and Gunsmoke, and any time spent with family.

He had a special bond with his family and caregivers, who were a constant source of comfort and love throughout his life. He especially cherished time spent with his mom, brothers and sisters, who will forever hold him close in heart and memory.

Steve is survived by his siblings Jim (Lori) Stowe, Lance (Cheryl) Stowe, Tressa (James) Compton, and Don Stowe; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Virgil Stowe; mother Dorothy Stowe; and sister Rhonda Suryan.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, therapists and medical staff past and present who supported Steve with kindness and dedication over the years. Most recently, Heavenly Haven in Owosso.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to any organization supporting special needs/disability services. Giving back to the community that helped support him.

Though his life journey had challenges, Steve's presence was a gift to our family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
