Steve Stanley YOKOBOSKY

YOKOBOSKY, Steve Stanley - age 95, of Swartz Creek, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2011. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Monday, February 7, 2011 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Jeffrey Njus celebrant. Interment will be held at St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Mr. Yokobosky was born February 10, 1915 in Oceola Mills, PA, the son of Frank and Vernice (Mrozinski) Yokobosky. He married Marie Ohman on August 30, 1941 and she preceded him in death on November 18, 2002. Mr. Yokobosky retired from General Motors after 38 years of service and was one of the few remaining Sit-Down Strikers. He was a long time member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: son, Steven (Sandra) Yokobosky of Chandler, AZ; daughter, Patricia Gebhardt of Davison; two grandson, Tony (Sally) Carroll and Scott (Cheryl) Yokobosky; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nellie Mekis and Sophie Casebolt; brother, Joseph Yokobosky.
