Steven Robert Hull

HULL Steven R. - age 73, of Swartz Creek, passed away August 1, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, surrounded by his loved ones. A memorial gathering will be held 12-3 PM Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473. An open sharing service will conclude the gathering at 3:00 PM

Steven was born on May 25, 1952, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Robert and Elaine (Huyck) Hull. He married Gayla Jo Holland on November 8, 1985. Steven retired from General Motors after a dedicated career. He had a lifelong passion for hot rods, vintage cars, and firearms, and he took great joy in sharing that enthusiasm with others. He dedicated his life to his family and being a Papa brought him the greatest joy.

Surviving are: wife, Gayla Hull; four children, Staci Bell, Zachary Arnold, Joshua Arnold, and Amber (Hull) Smyth and husband, Andrew; grandchildren, Avah, Audrey, Mariah, and Cody; two siblings, Marty (Sara) Hull and Brenda (Brad) Horvath; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elaine Hull; and sister, Janice Terrian.
