Steven "Stacks" Sarkisian - Age 39, of Clarkston, passed away June 13, 2026. A gathering for Words of Remembrance will take place at 3PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes- Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 12PM-3PM at the funeral home on Saturday.

Anyone who knew Steven, aka Stacks, knows he always had something to say. So writing about a man who could out-talk, out-joke, and out-story almost anyone feels nearly impossible. There are no words big enough for a loss like this.

Steven wasn’t just someone you knew. He was someone you felt. He had this incredible gift of turning strangers into friends and friends into family. If you were lucky enough to know him, he was probably one of your best friends. And if you didn’t like him when you first met him, don’t worry—he’d have you laughing, talking, and loving him before long. It never failed.

He was brilliant. The kind of brilliant that couldn’t be measured by degrees, titles, or accomplishments. His mind never stopped moving. He was always building something, creating something, fixing something, dreaming up the next big idea. He was a true entrepreneur at heart who always believed there was a better way, a bigger possibility, and another mountain to climb. His goal wasn’t just to make a better life for himself—he genuinely wanted to make life better for the people around him.

But for all of his ambition, what mattered most to Steven was people.

He loved his children fiercely. They were one of the greatest joys of his life, and anyone who knew him knew how proud he was of them. His love wasn’t measured in words—it was measured in the sacrifices he made, the time he gave, and the way he showed up every single day.

One of the things I admired most about him was his willingness to step up for others. He lovingly raised two of his youngest children as his own, never treating them as anything less than his. He didn’t do it because he had to. He did it because that’s who he was. He loved with his whole heart, and once you were his, you were his forever.

That same heart extended far beyond our family. Through his club, his charity work, and countless acts of kindness that often went unseen, Steven was always looking for ways to help people. He cared deeply about his community and about those who were struggling. Whether it was helping a friend, supporting a family in need, organizing charitable events, or simply showing up when someone needed him, he gave freely of himself. He never wanted recognition for it. He just wanted to make a difference.

He loved his club brothers. He loved his friends. He loved his family. And I was lucky enough to be loved by him too.

The way he loved was something rare. He loved completely, loudly, and without hesitation. He made people feel important. He made them feel seen. He made them feel like they mattered.

He pushed buttons. He teased relentlessly. He knew exactly how to get under your skin, and he enjoyed it far more than he should have. But he also made you laugh harder than anyone ever has. He made ordinary days feel special. He made life worth living.

People throw around phrases like “one of a kind,” but Steven truly was. He was a rare soul. A genuine gem in a world that doesn’t produce many people like him. The kind of person whose absence leaves a space that can never really be filled.

The world feels dimmer without his smile, his wit, his ideas, his laugh, and his giant heart in it. But what a gift it was to have known him. What a gift it was to have been loved by him.

Steven is survived by fiancée Tara Parsons; children Lailo Sarkisian, Madeline Sarkisian, Brody Caldera and Lola Fritz.

He is preceded in death by his father Alan Sarkisian and uncle Fran Coryell.
