Steven Robert Stapula

Steven Robert Stapula- Age 70, of Highland, passed away May 29, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, June 20 at Sharp Funeral Homes- Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Memorial visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Steve was born October 12, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan to the late William and Kaye (Reed) Stapula. Dirt bikes were a large part of Steve's life. He spent years racing harescrambles and motocross, including many memorable races at Mustang Acres in Brighton, and later grew to love trail riding across the country. He had a talent for working on cars, and motorcycles, including electrical systems. This talent led to a business that focused on lighting systems for offroad motorcycles. Steve was an adrenaline seeker and loved active sports, while also enjoying a quiet round of golf as often as he could. He was a proud member of the Cycle Conservation Club of Michigan (Tri-County Chapter) and dedicated much of his time helping to build dirt bike trails across the state.

Steve is survived by his wife of 49 years Pam (Bierschbach) Stapula; children Michael Stapula and Laura (Paul) Lissner; grandchildren Ayla Campbell, Oren Campbell and Brady Stapula; brother Eric (Linda) Stapula; many cousins and extended family.
