Susan was born on May 29, 1951, to the late Theodore & Floreine Kanera in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Northwestern Flint High School class of 1969. Upon graduating high school at the age of 18; her first job was with Michigan Bell as an operator. While at Michigan Bell she met Michael Wilbur who later would be the love of her life. Together Susan and Michael were blessed with their two children, Michael "Mike" and Elizabeth "Libby".

Susan was able to retire young and she along with Michael enjoyed trips to casinos as well as their travels to Florida and Las Vegas.  Time at home might have been spent watching soaps or possibly the home shopping network. Her fondest memories were "girl trips" spent with her daughter, Libby and daughter-in-law, Aaron. The three of them would get manis and pedis ending their day with lunch and shopping.

She is survived by her two loving children, Mike (Aaron) Wibur and Elizabeth Wilbur; her siblings, Rick (Mary) Kanera, John (Kathy) Kanera and Kathy Clark; close friends, Laynett and Junior Cole; her furry companion, Iris and her niece and nephews and other family members too numerous to list but never forgotten.

In addition to her parents, Theodore (Floreine) Kanera, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Michael Wilbur in 2020.

Susan's family would like to express their many thanks to Nate with McLaren Home Health Care. His compassion and dedication was greatly appreciated and did not go unnoticed.
