Susan Renee Diroff of Mundy Township passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Henry Ford Detroit Hospital.
Born May 19, 1958, in Ypsilanti, she was 67 years old. She was the eldest daughter of William and Sandra (Sprague) Price. On October 17, 1987, Susan married Thomas Diroff at St. John Baptist Catholic Church in Howell. Married 38 years, they shared many memories and adventures growing not only in life but in love. Through all of their shared years, they held the rare ability to keep strengthening their relationship through small acts and a comedic connection that only they would understand. Even throughout the hardships they found a way to see the lighter side and make a joke anywhere they were. Susan was a longtime paraprofessional, building relationships not only with her students but becoming a trusted companion with the families and becoming lifelong friends. Susan cared so deeply for not only her friends but anyone around her. She made sure no one was alone on a holiday and always extended invitations to any family event or holiday. Susan loved reading and sharing any finished book with a fellow reader. Shopping was her main hobby; from garage sales to antique store, she would always find a treasure. In the summers her main adventure was camping, teaching her grandchildren the excitement of exploring new areas. To Susan the most cherished thing to her was being a Mimi, her grandchildren were her world.
Susan is survived by her husband Thomas Diroff, two daughters, Kathryn Humphrey (husband Cordero) and Julia Scarberry (husband Tyler); 4 grandchildren Camren and Myla Humphrey, Tanner and Jonah Scarberry; one brother Bradley Price as well as her sisters cherished children Rob Heater and Leah Kopczyk and grandchildren, Alana, Addison, Grayson and Nolan Kopczyk and Jackson Heater and her beloved Shitzus Bailey and Mildred.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister and best friend Patricia Heater.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until time of the service.
