SMITH, Susan Lynn - Age 57, of Durand, died Sunday, July 29, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, August 3, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2526 Corunna Road, Flint. Pastor Samuel Hacker officiating. Visitation will be held 12PM-9PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Visitation will also be held 10AM until time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Lutheran Church or to the family. Susan was born April 29, 1961 in Flint, the daughter of Robert and Beverly (Brown) Foster. She married Randy Smith on January 10, 1981 in Flint. He preceded her in death in January of 2018. Susan loved reading, traveling, and spending time at Bear Lake, Michigan. Susan spent 12 years raising dogs for the blind. She worked for Frontier Veterinary Clinic as a technician and office manager for the past 23 years. Surviving are: daughter, Jennifer Smith of Flushing; sons, Christopher Smith of Alabama, Jason (Nicky) Smith of Hawaii; grandchildren, Landyn, Logan, Milah; mother, Beverly (Joe Thacker) Foster of Bear Lake, Michigan. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Kathleen) Foster of Durand; sisters, Kelley (Gibbon) Goulish of Burton, Annette (Rodney) Gunsell of Midland; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
