BUTTS, Sylvia Jean - Age 79, of Linden, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St. Linden. Pastor Seth Normington officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-9 PM. Sylvia was born April 27, 1935 in Flint the daughter of Leon Edward and Agnes Wilma (Buckler) Tanner. She was a 1952 graduate of Hoover High School in Flint. She married Carroll G. Butts December 27, 1984 in Linden. She sold Amway for 35 years and was a seamstress. Sylvia was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church. She also was an avid golfer. Surviving are: her husband, Carroll; daughters, Cindy and husband Don Norman of Elkhart, IN and Sue and husband Terry Rutan of Niota, TN; step son, Jeffrey and wife Diane Butts of Boone, NC; step daughters, Nancy and husband Bud Shaver of Cave Creek, AZ and Jana and husband Gary Hoensheid of Suttons Bay; grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew, Andrea, Jonathan, Aaron, Adrienne, Kiel, Kara, Ryan, and Taylor; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Earl and wife Addie Tanner of St. Clair Shores; several nieces and nephews.
