Teresa J. Byers

Teresa J. Byers, age 65, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a brave and resilient fight from multiple strokes on Monday, July 13, 2026. A Celebration of Teresa's Life will be held at 11am until 3pm on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Holiday House at the Shores, 10915 E. Goodall Road in Durand, Michigan. Teresa was born on October 26, 1960, in Owosso, Michigan to the late Maurice & Shirley (Aronson) Robinson. She was raised in Fenton and graduated from Fenton High School, class of 1979. Teresa found her best friend and love of her life in Bruce Byers, they married on June 28, 2001.

Teresa was a bold woman who loved her family fiercely. Even through her years of illness and victory in battling breast cancer in 2019 she never lost her sense of humor and always placed others before herself. She enjoyed a good game of Euchre, was crafty, loved to travel, watch her grandchildren play sports and was always pulling pranks.

She is a proud mother to her three daughters, Alexandria (Joe) David, Amber (Brian) Bolf and Sasha Porter; grandmother to Zerik, John, Chase, Jackson, Devon, Riot; grandma to her step-grandchildren, Logan, Piper, Ivy and Eli. Teresa is further survived by her twin twit sister, Sandra (Monroe) Hilty; brothers, Robert (Cindy) Robinson and Jerry Robinson and sister, Kim (Daren) Hutcheson many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Moak; brother John; sister-in-law, Veronica Robinson and brother, Dale Robinson.
