Terrence "Terry" G. Cleis, Sr.

CLEIS, Terrence G., Sr. "Terry" - Age 83, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Cremation has taken place and services will be announced at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to Fenton First Presbyterian Church, 503 S. Leroy St, Fenton, MI 48430.

Terry was born May 18, 1943, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Robert and Marian (Glinski) Cleis. He was a 1962 graduate of Moon High School in Moon Township, PA; and he received a Baccalaureate degree in Science from Point Park University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam era in Omaha, NE. He married Nancy L. Heinlen August 21, 1964, in Coraopolis, PA. Terry retired from PPG Industries in Troy, MI. He was a member of Fenton First Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Promise Keepers. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and coaching his sons, sports.

Surviving are: his wife of 62 years, Nancy; sons, Terrence George "Terry" (Ji) Cleis, Jr. of Fenton, John Alexander (Lydia) Cleis of Mt. Joy, PA, Calvin Robert (Jennifer) Cleis of Phoenix, AZ, Eric Charles (Shannon) Cleis of Elyria, OH, and Adam Benjamin (Katie) Cleis of Mentor, OH; 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert "Bo" (Linda) Cleis of Medina, OH and Charles "Chuck" Cleis of Moon Township, PA; sister, Sharon (Bruce) Parker of Norman, OK; brother-in-law, Dan (Gelene) Heinlen of Columbus, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
