Terry Edwards

EDWARDS, Terry Darwood, Sr. - age 81, of Fenton, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at his residence. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 13, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Saturday and 2-4 and 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 PM Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Mr. Edwards was born October 6, 1933 in Detroit, the son of Darwin J. and Lenora I. (Snyder) Edwards and was a graduate of Linden High School. He was a veteran of the U.S, Navy. Mr. Edwards married Marilyn R. Wright on August 15, 1953 and she preceded him in death on August 31, 1983. He retired from General Motors as a shift superintendent after many years of service. Mr. Edwards was active in the Linden Masonic Lodge, the Moose Club and the American Legion. He was an avid outdoorsman and was passionate about golf, hunting and fishing. Surviving are: seven children, Terry (Kim) Edwards, Jr., Penny (Walt) Novak, Pamela (Randy) Giesey, Patricia (Mark) Freeman, Peggy (Tony) Fortin, Jerry (Karen) Edwards, Polly (Gregg) Ladd; 18 grandchildren, T.J. (Alyson), Kerri, Lisa (Stuart), Nate, Aubre (Bobbie), Weston, Aleishia, Lucas, Krystn (Andrew), Jared, Jennifer, Kyle, Katelyn, Jordan, Dustin, Logan, Garrett, and Trevor; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne (Bonnie) McClure, Diane (Kirk) Hughes; sister-in-law, Toni Wright; special friend, Abbie Morgan; many nieces, nephews and friends.
