MATUSIK, Theodore Andrew - age 74 of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, February 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Road, Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Ted was born September 16, 1944 in Flint, the son of Lawrence and Ruby Gwendolyn (Morris) Matusik. He married Nina L. Hohenstein on June 10, 1967. Ted was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Libya. He retired from Buick Motor in 2001. Ted was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eagles Club. He loved NASCAR, University of Michigan Sports, cooking, baking and Cowboy and Western movies. One of his favorite weekend pastimes was driving stock cars. Surviving are: wife, Nina; five children, Tamera Diem, Tracy (Terry) Zinn, Barbara (Bill) Matusik-Zinn, Theodore Matusik, Jr. (Angie St. James), Lawrence (Brandy) Matusik; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Michael (Suzanne) Matusik, Frederick (Judy) Matusik, and Daniel (Gail) Matusik; sister, Kathy (Gary) Brelinski; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Teresa Ulanski; brother, Larry "Dunne" Matusik; and sister and brother in law, Barbara and Butch Bryan.
