Theodore Lewis ROCKWELL

July 17, 1936 — January 11, 2013

Rockwell, Theodore L. "Rock" , age 76, of Flint, passed away Friday January 11, 2013 at McLaren, Flint. A memorial visitation will be held from 12-2 PM Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VA of Flint or Saginaw, the FOE #629 in Flint or to a charity of one's choice. Rock was born July 17, 1936 in Little Traverse Township, Emmet County, MI, the son of the late Theodore L. and Violet C. (Smith) Rockwell; and foster parent Kenneth and Eve Bare of Petoskey. Mr. Rockwell enjoyed to work with oil paints and had a passion of painting landscapes. He loved collecting antique toy cars and tractors. In his youth, Rock participated in the area Golden Gloves Boxing. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and retired from Iron Workers Local 25, as a welder in 1996 with 20 plus years of service. Rock was also a longtime member of FOE #629, Flint. Surviving are; children, Monica (Douglas) Reissener of Bridgeport, Michael Rockwell of Petosky, Melissa (Kurt) Birnie of Grand Rapids, Susette (Dan Kaare) Esp of Norway, Rusty Louis John Rockwell of FL, step-daughter, Katrina Ceesay of Flint; grandchildren, Briana, Vincent, Jessica, Erik, Michael, Allan, Thealouise, Haakon, Mikayla, Bryce; great granddaughter Robin; sister Eleanore Rockwell-Croft of Jackson;and half-brothers& sisters in Alaska & Califoria. He was preceded in death by his grandson Alaric Reissener in 2012, sister Alice Mae Renne in 2010 and brother Aaron Rockwell in 1987 and dear friend Madonna M. Brock in 2012.
