Thelma "Linda" Miller

Thelma "Linda" Miller, age 82, of Lennon, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. A private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Tharlo “Ray” Miller.  Linda was born on March 15, 1942, to the late Horace & Carrie Hendrix in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Linda worked as a hairdresser and eventually established her own cosmetology school, Mane Street Academy of Hair Design in Owosso, Michigan. There she taught for over 30 years before closing and retiring. In her years of retirement Linda kept busy with concerts, craft shows and ballroom dancing. She loved country music but held a special spot in her heart for Elvis. Linda and her best friend Penny enjoyed attending those craft shows and summer concerts together. Linda was an avid sports fan and enjoyed baseball and football and favored the Michigan State Spartans. She will be dearly missed by those she left behind.

 She is survived by her son, Jeffery (Diana) Miller; daughters, Kim Smotherman and Lisa Smotherman; granddaughters Brittney (Tony) Alkema and Morgan Miller, grandsons, Michael Martin and Eric Dotson and best friend, Penny Eaton.
