KING, Thomas J. - Age 95, died August 26, 2015. Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM Monday, August 31, 2015 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Fr. Jim Rolph officiating. Burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 2:30 PM until the time of service. Thomas was born January 14, 1920 in Detroit the son of Joseph King and Margaret Hummel King. He graduated from Central High School and the University of Wisconsin Banking Institute. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret Salustro King who preceded him in death on August 14, 2015. After spending many years in the banking industry, Tom followed his passion for golf and opened a driving range in Farmington in 1966. Several years later he developed Great Oaks Country Club in Rochester. He was also a Lifetime member of Birmingham Country Club. In retirement he and his wife enjoyed many winters in South Carolina. Besides his wife, Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Harold and Edwin, and sister, Billie Wargo. He will be remembered by many nieces and nephew.
