Thomas Lampley

LAMPLEY, Thomas Jefferson -- Age 81, of Flushing, died May 7, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment in Flushing Cemetery, Flushing. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Friday, and 9- 11 AM Saturday. Thomas was born June 22, 1932 in Nimmons, Arkansas the son of Barney Brown Lampley and Minnie Bell (Baxter) Lampley. He was the Supervisor of the DPW in Flushing, retiring in 1992. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed farming, gardening, and woodworking. Surviving are: son Jeff (Talia) Lampley of Belleville; daughters, Theresa Casteel (Will Belford) of Metropolis IL, Rhonda Pearcy (Mike) of Brookport, IL, Marilyn Reed of Cave-in-Rock, IL; stepchildren, Julie Lanxton, Bill Baughman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Rosalie Hatfield; brother Carl Lynn Lampley.
