Thomas Lougheed of Linden, MI, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 7, 2026 at the age of 85. Visitation will be at held Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road in Fenton from 11AM to 1 PM followed by the funeral service at 1 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Thomas was born in Detroit, MI on July 6, 1941 to Ruth Evelyn Stait and Aloyious Vulrun Lougheed. He grew up in Ferndale, MI in a very hard working family with very strong Christian faith and values. Thomas would go on to further his education and receive various degrees and accolades from numerous schools, Central Michigan University, Wayne State University, Michigan State University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As you worked he on his various degrees, he began working at Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan in 1966. He taught various course in Calculus, Political Science and Accounting. Teaching was his passion and he taught at MCC for 40 years until 2006.

On March 28, 1970 Thomas married the love of his life Nancy Elizabeth Godt and spent 34 years with her until her death in March of 2004. Thomas and Nancy would have two sons Thomas Scott Lougheed in 1972 and Patrick Richard Lougheed in 1978.

Thomas was always a very hard working, tenacious, intelligent man of God and taught his children to follow in his footsteps. He was always working on different projects and developed businesses in custom home building, real estate, and accounting. As a younger man he enjoyed things like water skiing and taking his classic 1936 Chris Craft boat to Hessel, MI for the annual boat show.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his son, Thomas (Scott); daughter in law, Diane; son, Patrick; daughter in law, Erica; grandson, Lucas; grandson, Jayden; granddaughter, Kailey and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Ruth; wife, Nancy; sister, Mary Jane; brother, James; and nephew, Jonathan.
