Thomas William Robins

Thomas William Robins, age 87, of Durand, passed away peacefully at home on March 31, 2026.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider planting a tree in Thomas’ memory. A living tribute to a life well lived.

Thomas was born on October 1, 1938, in Swartz Creek, the son of the late Richard Morris and Catherine Elizabeth (Roddy) Robins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Alongside his beloved wife, Judy, he proudly carried on his family’s legacy as the second-generation owner of Linden Sash & Door, now Linden Kitchen & Bath. For more than 40 years, he devoted himself to the business, continuing the work his father began.

Though he worked hard, Thomas truly cherished time spent at his place in Sebewaing, where he enjoyed boating, sailing, and fishing. He was an avid hunter and took great pleasure in searching for arrowheads. In retirement, he lovingly restored a canoe he had first purchased at the age of 16, a reflection of his appreciation for both craftsmanship and the memories that shaped his life.

Thomas will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Judy; his children, Randy Robins, Charles (Kristine) Robins, Michelle (Ryan Wallace) Robins, and Lance Robins; and his cherished grandchildren, Trevor Robins, Caydin Snodgrass, Piper Snodgrass, Alex Robins, Elizabeth Robins, Brooke Robins, and Paige Robins. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Holtslander.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine, in 1968, and their infant son, Thomas.
