Thomas STANKEVICH

STANKEVICH, Thomas - Age 75, of Fenton, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice. Mr. Stankevich was born October 30, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of John ad Elizabeth (Abel) Stankevich. He attended Shrine High School in Royal Oak and was a 1960 graduate of Detroit College of Engineering. Mr. Stankevich was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1953-1956. He married Carole Loeser on December 17, 1955 in Berkley. Surviving are: wife, Carole Ann; six children, Michael (June) Stankevich of Swartz Creek, Mark Stankevich of CA, Jean (Curtis) Martin of Merritt, MI, Craig (Verna) Stankevich of SC, Julie Thompson of Flint, Christopher Stankevich of Fenton; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Karen) Stankevich of Indian River, Patricia (Ed) Johansen of IN; many nieces and nephews.
