With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas “Tommy” Edward Studt age 65, of Fenton, Michigan, after a courageous battle with an unexpected illness. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Saturday June 1, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 1 PM Saturday June 1st. Tom was born in Taylor, Michigan on January 19th, 1959. He was a beloved figure anywhere he went as his charm and quick wit were second only to his skill as a mechanical genius. If you saw Tom you could expect an ever-present smile on his face, an ice cold glass of milk in his hand and a story about to be told. He was a man who possessed a gift for gab & a desire to live life to the fullest. This led to a life filled with friends and family and adventure everywhere he turned! He had a passion for cars and spent most of his life racing and fixing them. He had a big heart and would have been rich for fixing cars if he had charged more than an ice cream sandwich. If you couldn’t find him on the racetrack, you could find him near the lake working as a master boat mechanic through his most proud business, “The Boat Guy.” He also loved McDonald’s ice cream cones, the outdoors, fishing, bon fires, camping and even met his wife, Jenifer, while on a camping trip. He married the love of his life in August of 1996 and spent his life being more than a husband as he was an even greater friend to her. Together, they shared 5 children Kristy (Michael) Panko, Tiffany (Christopher) Binion, Gary Haines, Thomas (Kelly) Studt and Gracee Carney, who are survived by him. While we lost a great man, we can smile up at Heaven whenever we think of Tom, and know without a doubt, that God definitely has a Crew Chief for his heavenly pit crew! Forever racing number 33. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Jenifer Studt, their 5 children, and grandchildren Michael, Mason, Hope, Lucy, Hailey, Baylon, Jazzpurr, Raelin, Middknight, Ryder, Lola, Thomas, and Daisy. His is also survived by his bonus mom Vickie Studt, his mother in law Marbah Carney, his sisters Lois (Doug) Chandler and Linda Studt, his brothers Robert “Bobby” Studt Jr., James “Jimmy” Studt and Daniel “Danny” (Janet) Studt, his sisters in law Kathy (David) Wolf and Brenda (Gregory) Long. He is also survived by his Nieces Tracey, Karen, Dawn, Kelly, Sarah, Michelle, Stephanie and Heather, his nephews Greg, Don, Cody, Cameron, Gregory and Christopher. Many great nieces and nephews and even more friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Sadie Grace Studt and his father Robert Arthur Studt. May they rest in heaven
