Tim Weld, of Fenton, Michigan passed away at the age of 62 in his home Thursday morning. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Courtney (AJ) Rice, stepchildren, Cory, Amy, and Kayla. He was the "cool grandpa" to Mason, Braxton, Harper, Roman, and Peyton. His Father, Jerry (Shirley) Weld, and his siblings, Terry (Katie) Weld and Todd (Melanie) Weld. He was the "funcle" to Alex, Nick, Estee, and Sky. He also maintained a close, special friendship with Cindy Vowell.
Tim had served in the United States Army Airborne for three years in Germany. He was a hard worker and spent many years as a machine operator, most recently at Eberspächer in Brighton. He enjoyed life to the fullest. His favorite days were ones spent up north or on the river. His late Aunt Lucy started an annual Canoe Trip down the Ausable River in the 1980s that still happens every year. It was something that brought many people from different walks of life together and that many looked forward to every summer. He was the life of the party. If you knew him, you know. He never judged anyone and accepted everyone for who they were even if his jokes sometimes bordered on being offensive.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Weld, and baby sister, Tammy Thayer.
