Timothy Major

MAJOR, Timothy Charles -- Age 68, of Flushing, died October 14, 2018. Services will be held 11 AM Friday October 19 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5005 McCandlish Rd, Grand Blanc, Pastor Dennis Himm officiating. Visitation will be 10AM until time of service on Friday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Gloria Dei Church or a Veterans Organization of Ones Choice. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Tim was born July 16, 1950 in Flint the son of Charles and June (Thompson) Major. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He married Cheryl Ann Harmon on December 4, 1982 in Grand Blanc. He retired from GM Fisher Body. He loved deer hunting and teaching others Hunter Safety, and was a member of the Flushing Rifle and Pistol Club. He loved his church family at Gloria Dei. He loved his family, he was so proud to be a dad and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Cheryl; 2 daughters, Kassandra Major (Terry Lewis), Karen (Ty) Knisley; granddaughter, Chloe Garfield; former son-in-law, Damon Garfield; brother, Terry (Marcia) Major; niece, Sarah Major; nephew, Spencer (Lynsey) Ball.
