Timothy James Sanborn

 Timothy James Sanborn, age 56, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of life will take place 1-4 PM  August 10, 2024 at Flushing Township Hall, 6524 N. Seymour Road Flushing. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road, Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. 

Timothy was born on March 31, 1968 in Flint the son of Richard and Sharon (Ramoie) Sanborn. He graduated class of 1986 from Flushing High School. Timothy worked as a truck driver for Holland Motor Freight and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. He was united in marriage to Gloria Rolfe on March 14, 2009 in Flushing.

In his free time he enjoyed fishing Lake Leelanau with his grandpa and cousin, playing hockey with his teammates and "Coach",  planning the big hunt trips with his grandpa, dad, uncle and brothers, boating on the famous Torch Lake Sandbar with his family, and spent endless hours cooking and grilling with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Sanborn; children, Tyler Sanborn, Matthew (Aleksandra) Hickey, Michael Hickey and Antonio Turnbow; parents, Richard and Sharon Sanborn; siblings, David (Kelly) Sanborn, Mike (Melissa) Sanborn and Kari Roberts (Scott Rumsey); nieces and nephews, Andrew (Kaitlyn) Sanborn, Austin Sanborn (Kelli Standfest), Owen, Olivia and Sophie Sanborn, Lani Roberts, Paige and Brooke Rumsey,  Emma and Ava Sanborn. 

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Margery Sanborn, Francis and Betty Ramoie; brother, Daniel Sanborn; and his best friend and furry companion, Segar. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
