Tina Marie POWELL

POWELL, Tina Marie- Age 51, of Burton, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 after a 10 year struggle with multiple sclerosis. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, July 26, 2013, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor David Miller officiating. Visitation will be held 3 PM to 9 PM, Thursday and 12PM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the family in memory of Tina Marie Powell. Tina was born March 22, 1962, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Donald and Leona (Jones) Caron. She married Kevin Powell on February 11, 1995 in Flint, Michigan. Tina was a very creative person. She loved to crochet, enjoyed doing puzzles, gardening, and coming up with crafting projects that the whole family got to be a part of. She was an avid Facebook follower. Above all, Tina loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Kevin of 18 years, two sons; Jason Baker of Maryland, and Raymond Powell of Swartz Creek, 3 grandchildren; Katelynn, Dylan, and Reagan Baker and their mother Jamie, two sisters; Diane (James) Schilling of Mt. Morris and Donna (Jerry) Daniels of Flint, and mother in law Laura Buxton. Tina is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Mike and Steve Caron. The family wishes to invite everyone to join them for a celebration of life luncheon immediately following the funeral service at St. Dunstan Episcopal Church 1523 North Oak Road in Davison.
