Tracy Lynn Weippert

Dr. Tracy Lynn Weippert, age 46, of Fenton, passed away on July 17, 2026.

Tracy was born on November 30, 1979, in Howell, the daughter of Stephen and Arlene (Wagnitz) Weippert. She graduated from Milford High School in 1998 before continuing her education, earning a bachelor's degree from Grand Valley State University, two master's degrees from the University of Michigan-Flint, and ultimately fulfilling a lifelong academic goal by earning her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2020.

Tracy dedicated many years to teaching with Hamtramck Public Schools, where she shared her passion for learning and made a lasting impact on her students.

She had a deep love of travel and set a personal goal of visiting all 50 states. She also cherished her trips to Europe, with London holding a special place in her heart. Tracy never traveled without her camera, capturing the places and moments she loved, and preserving those memories in beautifully crafted scrapbooks that reflected her creativity and joy.

Tracy is survived by her loving mother, Arlene; her brother, Jeremy; her grandparents, Marvin and Patricia Wagnitz; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen, and her grandparents, Milo and Martha Weippert.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.
