Twila Denise Brown

Brown, Twila Denise - age 64 of Flint, passed away on September 5, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2026 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507 with Benjamen Evers officiating. Twila will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery following the funeral ceremony. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM -6:00PM Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the funeral home and from 11:00 AM Monday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries (www.carriagetown.org) or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan (www.fbem.org).

Twila was born on March 19, 1962 in Flint, Michigan to the late Ray Darwin and Shirley Jeanne (McIntire) Maurer. She graduated from Bendle High School before attending Mott Community College. She married Kurt Brown on October 8, 1991and she worked at Covenant HealthCare and GLC Bowling Balls.

Surviving is her loving husband, Kurt. Sister, Teresa (Kim) Brown. Sister-in-law, Kandice (Gordon Andrews). Aunt, Judy McIntire. Nieces, Randi (Michael Wright) Brown; Sydney (Dominik) Louden; Taylor (Greg) Hughey; Ashley (Joel) Salvo. Great nephews, Julio and Axel Salvo. Twila is also survived by her beloved furry companion, Bear; many cousins and special friend, Laura Olding.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Rizwan Danish, Dr. Paul Kocheril, the staff at Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute and all the health care professionals who extended kindness & compassion along this journey.
