Vera Carlson

CARLSON, Vera Clair - Age 96, of Linden, formerly of Redford Twp., passed away March 25, 2023. Committal Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly. Memorial Contributions in Vera's memory would be appreciated to Wounded Warriors.

Vera was born September 22, 1926 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Charles and Rebecca (Kearney) Gemeinhardt. She married Richard C. Carlson in Dodge City, KS on December 4, 1943. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2013. Vera was a homemaker and loving mother. She was an active member of Redford United Methodist Church and the Lady's Circle there. Vera enjoyed reading, working puzzle books, and especially boating and spending time at the family cottage at Point Pelee, Ontario.

Vera is survived by her children: Richard (Susan) Carlson, Janet (Tom) Cummings, Barbara Carlson, and Karyl (Don Waddle) Carlson; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces, and 3 nephews.
