Vera Mae NYLAND

NYLAND, Vera Mae (nee Perry), age 93, of Grand Blanc, passed away August 8, 2010 at Wynwood in Grand Blanc. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd, Flint. The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice. Vera was born February 9, 1917 in Beaverton, Michigan the daughter of the late Jay B. and Laura C. (Sherwood) Perry. She graduated from high school in Flint and attended the Chicago Institute of Arts. She married Arthur J. Nyland in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1970. She was involved in Perry Printing for many years which was founded by her father and operated by her husband and family for 75 years. Surviving are her children, Jan and wife, Mary Ellen Nyland of Grand Blanc, Chris and wife, Lesli Nyland of Charlevoix, Bruce A. Nyland of Baldwin, Greg and wife, Randy Nyland of Grand Blanc, Diane Nyland and husband, James Enos of Grand Blanc, Jeff and wife, Noeleta Nyland of Oxford; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
