Vera Mae Reed

REED, Vera M. (Krupp) - Age 99, of Durand, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Regency at Grand Blanc. A funeral service will take place 1:00 PM, Monday, April 15, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Chaplin Adam Doyle will preside with burial following at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Prior to the service a visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  

Vera was born on June 3, 1924 in Durand, Michigan the daughter of the late Marion and Nina (Ellars) Krupp. She graduated from Fenton High School. Vera and Duane "Jack" Reed were united in marriage on September 25, 1945 in Flint. Sadly he preceded her in death on September 9, 1999. She was a homemaker and volunteered her time to the Blood Mobile in Durand. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and spending time socializing with her family, friends and neighbors.   

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon DeLisle of Gaines; 2 granddaughters, Sandi and husband Bill Domzalski of Gaines and Lisa and husband John Thelen of Fenton; 6 great-grandchildren, Trisha, Joey, Cassie (Brad), Greg, Darian and Lindsey; 7 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Vera was preceded in death by her grandson, Tim DeLisle, sister, Ruth (Robert) Matkin; and son-in-law, Alan DeLisle.
